About the Department

The undergraduate education of the Department of Turkish Language and Literature at the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences at Istinye University is four years. The language of instruction of the program is Turkish. The purpose of the program; To train students who can do research in the field of Turkish Language and Literature and focus on lifelong learning. In addition, the main objectives of this program are to raise individuals who can explain and examine the concepts, movements, theories and texts related to literature, use Turkish correctly, beautifully and effectively, contribute to creating and developing a reading culture, develop basic language skills, and have effective communication skills.​ The structure of the Turkish language in this program. Education and research are carried out for all periods of Turkish language and Turkish literature, its development and its connection with other languages, the history and current state of Turkish literature.
