On April 24-29, 2018, our department faculty members, Dr. Feyzi Çimen and Dr. Mehmet Ali Gündoğdu, participated in the Xth International Turkic Art, History, and Folklore Congress / Art Activities organized by Selçuk University and Kazan Federal University. In this Congress, which was attended by many academics from the Turkish world, they both served as chairmen and made presentations. They held one-on-one meetings with the professors of Turkology and Tatar Literature at Kazan Federal University, Russia's third-largest university. They talked about inter-university communication and student exchange. They also participated in the commemoration programs of the famous Tatar poet Abdullah Tugay in the time of the Congress. They also watched a theater about Nasrettin Hodja, prepared by the Kazan theater team, which was very popular in Russia.
