The 25th April International DNA Day event started with the opening of the poster exhibition prepared by the Molecular Biology and Genetics Student Club. The exhibition was opened by the Dean of the Faculty of Arts and Sciences. Dr. Prof. Dr. Margörit Rita Krespi, Head of Department Dr. Nermin Gözükırmızı and the student club president Buse Meriç Acar. The event was attended by students from the Department of Molecular Biology and Genetics at several universities such as Yeni Yüzyıl University and Istanbul University. The last surprise of DNA Day is Cihan Taştan's speech about "The Future of Medicine, What are Gene Therapies and How They Work" at 3:00 pm.
