Başak Altunbek has graduated from Kadir Has University department of psychology with full scholarship and high honor degree. She was the 3rd top scoring student in the department and faculty. During her undergraduate education, she participated researches in SiLaB (language and bilingualism studies laboratory). And she did internship in hospitals and foundations. She was an exchange student in Jagiellonian University in 2018. She continues her master education on Clinical Psychology in Marmara University.
